Mine!

What does this mean? The world we live in, the nations and people, the greatest rulers, kings and presidents ... the famous and the common, man or woman, from the moment of conception on, all are created by Jesus Christ. "Through whom ... He made the worlds, who is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power" (Hebrews 1:2-3).

 Since He is the designer/author of life and our lives continue to this vary moment because of His power. Jesus then, is the rightful owner. In other words, every person belongs to Him. Therefore, "He does according to His will in the host of heaven And among the inhabitants of earth; And no one can strike against His hand Or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’" (Daniel 4:35).

The point being, His authority over the lives of His creatures is absolute. With this as a foundation, when our Creator speaks, by necessity we must listen!

Good and upright is the Lord; therefore He instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble His way. All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. Psalms 25:8-10

Ours is to simply heed what Jesus teaches. He is showing us the way of mercy and forgiveness -- the salvation from our sins. This is what He will graciously give to those who will listen.

Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Psalms 25:4-5
